My Thoughts on Relationships as of The Now. (top of 2024)
My thoughts on relationships are like this: They are not something to which you look forward and
think you are going to accomplish. They are the combinations of things you have shared with someone
for the period of time ya'll have shared in the same universe-spacetime (e.g. the past). I don't
believe in hierarchies or otherwise drawing up special shapes with my relationships because I have
identified that even the ones that have birthed me and are part of my direct genetic timeline (e.g.
my "family") does not matter, all my relationships are unique in their nature because my
interactions with each of those individuals is completely unique in their own nature. Present-day
constructs such as "family", "friend" and "${gender}friend", "fuckbuddy" no longer mean anything to
me. There only exists the here and the now. Everyone really is out for themselves as they should be
and it's not a matter of going against nature in this regard, it's about navigating it adequately
enough to at a bare minimum to survive, at the most thrive.
This idea of "blood is thicker than water" clearly does not hold even with my own family and it's sad
to see people say "unconditional" love, but then apply conditions and cast people away that do not
serve them, even if they are of blood descent.
There does not need to exist a singular motion of "Service to Self" vs "Service to Others". One must
find the balance in this to know how much of the self to serve and how much to serve others. I do
believe there exists an existential Karma about this because you get what you give in this world.
I also have seen how Service to Self can be Service to Others in the ways of enlightenment and self
discovery. By learning more about The Self and The Ego and being able to partition elements of
identity to both gives me great insights into how I can interact more fully here. We are all given
a choice on how we react to a situation, after all.
So, choose wisely.
I choose to Serve the Self by investigating my inner demons. I inquire them thoroughly for their
needs and serve them their demolishment and the alchemic shift from darkness to light. I Serve the
Self by understanding it as fully as I can to be able to navigate the moments where it is most
critical in my advancement, not just survival.
I choose to Serve Others by providing that path and trail to show an example of what it looks like
to care for the self without being arrogant or narcissist. To show that it is possible to rise from
the darkness at your command and see just as much as you wish to see if you would only just get
out of your own way.
I choose to Serve Others by providing a place and a space where one can discover their True Self
and what that feels like to have a Love for the Self you may have never experienced because you
spent your entire life denying it, thinking you didn't deserve it.
Trust me. I know what that feels like.
My thoughts on relationships are this: I'm Single for Life.
.... but I'm also polyamorous 😉
I appreciate all the blessings that come into my life and support me. However, I have a hard time
accepting something for nothing. Probably one of the reasons I am not yet a millionaire is because
I refuse to take advantage of people and do it in a way that unequally benefits me. However, if
situations like this occur, I will do what I can to either reverse as well as I can or issue
correction as possible. Otherwise, I will pay it forward because you can't take it with you.
So, leave it better than you found it... as best you can.
At least, that's my philosophy on the matter at this time, based on what I know and have experienced.
